The falling temperatures mixed with rain and snow made roads slippery this morning.
Police say a 20-year-old woman lost control of her car, crashed through a fence and slammed into a tree on County Road 83 in Mount Sinai around 1:30 a.m.
The driver only suffered minor injuries.
It happened while freezing rain was falling, but there was no official word that weather was to blame.
