Thousands of eggs will soon be available to Long Islanders through Long Island Cares as part of a price-fixing settlement between the state Attorney General’s Office and egg producers.
A total of 720 cases containing nearly 259,200 eggs are expected to be delivered to the food bank’s Hauppauge warehouse Thursday morning.
The delivery comes after Island Harvest received 140,000 donated eggs earlier this month as part of the settlement.
