The north shore of Nassau County has been hit the hard by the storm.

News 12 Long Island's Elyse Evans was in Carle Place where snow has piled up and has now changed to a wintry mix.

Many plow drivers were out clearing the roads in the area this afternoon.

Drivers are urged to use caution while driving.
