Small businesses hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic get another chance to apply for federal aid in the week ahead.
The Small Business Administration will resume accepting Paycheck Protection Program loan applications starting Monday at 10:30 a.m.
The first round of funding for federal loans, meant to help small business owners pay their employees, ran out of money after 13 days.
Fred Falconer, owner of S.F. Falconer Florist in Port Washington, says he is one of the small businesses that was left out of the first round.
Falconer, who had to lay off eight employees, hopes that there's money left in the program during the second round. He plans to use that money to pay his employees.
