A Hofstra student is suing the U.S. Army, claiming he was rejected from the campus ROTC unless he shaves and removes his turban which are all requirements of his religion.
Iknoor Singh wants to be a military intelligence officer, but he's a practicing Sikh.
Sikhs must keep their hair and beards long and wear a turban.
Singh wants to join Hofstra's ROTC and he's asking for an exemption to cutting his hair and beard.
The army denied his request and now an ACLU lawsuit says the army is violating the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
