Police say a man looking to cheat a drug test put the welfare of his child at risk in his attempt to beat the system.
Authorities say Brandon Costantino took his 9-year-old son out of school Wednesday and had him urinate in a coffee cup next to a convenience store. Cops then allegedly caught Costantino pouring the urine into a condom in an attempt to smuggle the sample into a drug test for a job with a freightliner company.
The boy has been put in the custody of his mother. Child Protective Services and the Department of Motor Vehicles have been notified of the incident.
Costantino is being charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning.
