A Suffolk officer given a slim chance of survival after a hit-and-run last month left Stony Brook University Hospital today.
Officer Nicholas Guerrero was critically injured when police say he was run down by two suspects in a stolen SUV and left to die in the street.
Guerrero sustained severe life-threatening injuries and was given a 1 in 3 chance of survival. He spent weeks in a medically induced coma.
After weeks hospitalized with traumatic brain injuries, Guerrero is now well enough to head to a rehab facility.
Suspects Chad Morizsan and Nicholas Franzone both face a long list of criminal charges.
