Part of the Long Island Expressway (LIE) was closed briefly Wednesday morning after a van crash in Medford.
The accident happened near exit 64 on the eastbound side of the LIE. According to police, the van was carrying six children and two adults when a tire blew out. The van careened into the woods.
Police say none of the children or the two adults suffered life-threatening injuries. However, one child was airlifted to a hospital for a leg injury.
