Sentencing was postponed Tuesday for the 15-year-old who pleaded guilty to planning a Columbine-like attack on Connetquot High School.
The teen's attorney, Robert Gallo, said outside the Central Islip courthouse that his client must undergo additional psychological testing at Sagamore Children's Facility.
"He takes responsibility," Gallo said of the teen, whose identity is being concealed because he is a minor. "He's aware that he was planning to do some pretty awful, awful things."
The 15-year-old, along with his 17-year-old friend, Michael McDonough, allegedly planned to attack the school with guns and explosives. The suspected plot was discovered after the younger teen's notebook, entitled "The Journal of the Dark," was found on a street.
Sentencing on attempted conspiracy charges was rescheduled for September 27.
