Sentencing for a former Catholic priest who molested and sodomized a 5-year-old Suffolk boy four years ago was again postponed Friday.Barry Ryan, who admitted to sodomizing children in Alabama and Florida in the 1980s before being accused in Suffolk, pleaded guilty to the charges in 2004. Ryan received a two-year sentence because his lawyer claimed Ryan had terminal liver cancer and only had months to live."The sentence was never going to be executed because we were told he was too ill to serve his sentence," said the victim's mother, whose identity News 12 Long Island is concealing. Four years later, the victim's mother and her lawyer claim Ryan is faking to avoid prison. "I don't know how he lives with the shame," the boy's mother said. The term was supposed to begin Friday, but was postponed until Monday because Ryan's lawyer did not show up to the hearing. He claimed to not know about it.
