A Smithtown business is providing free transportation to seniors to make the trip a little easier for families going to Calverton National Cemetery over the holidays.
Since the late 1990s, seniors can take a bus provided by the Branch Funeral Home of Smithtown to Calverton.
Many are widows whose husbands served in the military, according to Newsday.
The free bus trip comes with free coffee and donuts and even pizza in the afternoons. It also provides companionship as seniors visit gravesites.
