A Selden man was arrested, accused of pointing a laser at a police helicopter.

Police say Joseph Gil targeted the Suffolk police chopper late Sunday night on Dare Road while it was looking for a driver who ran from a car crash.

Gil, 33, was arrested on Dare Road and charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment.

An arraignment date was not immediately detailed by police.
