Officials say additional security measures have been implemented as Suffolk County police investigate a threat made against Half Hollow Hills High School East in Dix Hills.
Emails were sent to the district and police warning that the school would be blown up. Police made a security sweep at the school Thursday night and Friday morning, but nothing suspicious was found.
District officials say extra personnel was on hand for the SAT exam that was given at the school on Saturday. Students and staff all entered through the main entrance, where all bags were searched.
Security was also boosted for a football game at Half Hollow Hills West.
