? The Secret Service has gotten involved after racist graffiti including messages targeting President-elect Barack Obama was found in Mastic Wednesday.

The graffiti was found drawn on nearly 40 cars along Gores Drive. Sexually graphic references and racist slurs were also found on the cars.

One resident says ?kill Obama? was written on at least one vehicle. Others say they had heard the same thing.

?We're in a new age now, things have changed,? says Griselda Rivera, whose two cars were vandalized. ?Black and white, we?re all the same but people just can?t get used to it.?

Mastic resident Hallock Nash says the graffiti was written in shoe polish, which is difficult to remove.

Suffolk police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Suffolk?s Hate Crimes Unit is also involved in the investigation. AP wire reports contributed to this article.
