A screaming match erupted over MTA spending during a hearing on Tuesday.
State Senator Mario Mattera, of St. James, and MTA CEO Janno Lieber yelled at one another during the hearing.
The argument started when Mattera asked about a $35 million security contract with a company based outside New York.
Lieber said "Everybody who works for the safe guard transit system lives in New York. It's not a bunch of Pennsylvanians. They're unionized."
Mattera fired back asking "Again, why do we need it?"
The two continued back-and-forth until they were cut off by Assembly Chair J. Gary Pretlow.
Mattera was insisting the security jobs he questioned aren't local, while Lieber maintains all of the contracted employees live and work in New York.
