Six Sachem North High School students were sent to the hospital just before noon after eating candy laced with marijuana, according to school officials.
A statement from the school district says the candy bar was prepackaged and labeled as containing marijuana.
The school superintendent said the students received medical attention as a safety precaution. He also encouraged parents to have conversations with their children about making healthy choices.
All the students have been released from the hospital, according to the district.
