Island Trees High School senior Mecca Laradji is in the school's track team and is one of Long Island's best throwers.

She's an three-time all-county shot putter and a county champion discus thrower.

Mecca is also a talented musician. She plays the French horn and every percussion instrument, like the drums and xylophone.

She's in four school bands, including the jazz band.

Mecca also co-captains the debate and ethics team, she is the president of the French Honor Society and is in the Art Honor Society.

She has a 98 unweighted average.
