Mark Teixeira is celebrating a win in his primary race for a U.S. House seat in Texas. The former first baseman is running as a Republican in a district that typically votes red, making him the frontrunner heading into the general election.
Former President Donald Trump endorsed Teixeira during the campaign, calling him a “total winner on and off the field.”
Teixeira played five seasons with the Texas Rangers at the start of his career.
