South Side High School senior Avery Brull is heading to Cornell later this year where she hopes to continue her dominance as a distance runner.

She's made the All-County team in track and cross-country every year in high school and served as captain in both sports.

She is the co-founder of a school charity that donates backpacks and school supplies to students who can't afford them. She's a freshman mentor and has a 98 GPA.
