Stony Brook University police have identified the suspect in Saturday's groping attack of a student as a man they say has a reputation for trespassing around campus.
Police say they are searching for Miguel Angel Condori, 33, after he forced himself on a female graduate student inside a bathroom on campus.
According to police, Condori is a four-time offender on the campus. In 2009, he was arrested for burglary; in 2010, he was arrested for grand larceny, and in 2013, for trespassing inside a building.
"He has previously been declared persona non grata, meaning he's not allowed back on our campus," says university police Chief Robert Lenahan. "But unfortunately he does come back."
Lenahan says police immediately recognized Condori when they saw him in surveillance video from Saturday's incident.
Police say the incident happened inside the third-floor bathroom of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Building around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Condori allegedly groped the woman before she pushed him away, and he fled.
Police tell News 12 Condori was released from prison in February and is on parole.
In addition, police say Condori has arrests in Manhattan and Queens, and state police are also looking for him.
