Tucked away in Sayville is a historic summer estate and vineyard.

The Meadow Croft estate dates back to the 1800s. It used to be the summer of home of Teddy Roosevelt's cousin, John Ellis. Now, it's home to a Suffolk County park and Loughlin Vineyard.

The home itself is now a museum with exhibits and gardens to tour. Right next door on the property is the vineyard. The Loughlin family, which owns the vineyard, worked as caretakers for the Roosevelt family. In 1946, Barney Loughlin bought the property and opened the vineyard in 1985.

Barney still oversees the vineyard's operations at the age of 87. He is often found entertaining customers with the stories of his life.
