Jolly old Saint Nick stopped by the Holtsville Wildlife and Ecology Center on Friday night, but he opted to travel by helicopter instead of his usual reindeer and sleigh.
Santa was at the center for the tree-lighting ceremony. He arrived by chopper and then waved from atop a fire truck.
Starting Saturday, visitors can walk through a winter wonderland display at the center.
The money raised will help the animals that the ecology site cares for.
