More than 30 dogs graduated this week from Canine Companions in Medford – a service dog group that matches pups in forever homes to boost their and their owners’ independence.
One of those dogs is Samosa, who will be joining the Special Victims Unit at the Nassau District Attorney’s Office.
“If you saw how the children react to a service dog when they need to tell the story…of the worst day of their lives, it is heartwarming and life changing,” said DA Anne Donnelly.
Samosa is described as playful and affectionate, making her vibrancy the right balance to work with victims.
