Some Sag Harbor residents outraged over school district’s plan to build athletic field on piece of land
News 12 Long Island has learned some Sag Harbor residents are
outraged over the school district's plan to buy a piece of land and build an
athletic facility.
As News 12 has reported, the
district wants to buy a four-acre site next to Pierson High School -- costing
the average tax payer $18. That's if the plan is approved in the 2024 budget.
Some residents against the
move formed a group called 'Citizens of Sag Harbor.'
They say it would take away
character from the
village.
