Police say a 50-year-old man was shot to death in his home in East Setauket.

Authorities say gunshots were fired last night through the window of a home on Upper Sheep Pasture Road near Debbie Court.

Officials add that they found Ross Reisner struck in the chest. He died at Stony Brook University Hospital. Kevin Murray, a man who neighbors identify as Reisner's boyfriend, was grazed by a bullet and survived. Homicide detectives say the men were targeted.

Reisner was a well-known horse rider and instructor who competed in the Hampton Classic.

Authorities say the murderer is still at large.
