A Roslyn Heights man is in critical condition at North Shore University Hospital Tuesday after a gunman shot him in the head in his driveway.
Police say 54-year-old Jack Singh was at his home on Powerhouse Road Monday night when his 11-year-old daughter told him she heard the garage door opening. Singh went to investigate and, according to investigators, was shot in the head with no exchange of words. Authorities say they are unsure of the motive and are investigating all leads. Nothing was reported stolen from the property.
Cops say the gunman escaped on foot heading east on the south service road toward Willis Avenue. Neighbors say they are shocked such an incident could happen in their community.
