The Roosevelt School District is gathering to help a family in the community.

The family of nine was displaced after a house fire on Wednesday.

As News 12 reported, fire officials say flames broke out at a home on Grant Street.

The Red Cross is providing assistance to the three adults and six children who were living there.

The district says many people reached out to them to ask how they could help, as well.

Donations of gently used clothing can be delivered to Washington Rose Elementary School in Roosevelt.
