A 43-year-old woman is facing charges for stabbing two people in Crown Heights over the weekend.
One of those victims, 74-year-old Hadiatou Bah, died. The other, a 72-year-old woman, was critically injured.
Police say 43-year-old Oumou Bah is charged with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
News 12 was also told that Oumou Bah was actually a roommate of the victims.
Oumou Bah is accused of using scissors to stab the 74-year-old woman multiple times in the head and arms until she died, and repeatedly stabbing another woman in her back and arms.
Tenants of the building say this kind of violence is much different than what they are used to.
Officials say that Oumou Bah and Hadiatou Bah are not related – despite having the same last name.
