Ronell Wilson gets death penalty in murder of NYPD officers James Nemorin & Rodney Andrews

A jury has ruled that a man convicted of killing two NYPD officers should get the death penalty.

Ronell Wilson fatally shot officers James Nemorin, of Baldwin Harbor, and Rodney Andrews.

Wilson was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to death in 2007, but an appeals court overturned the sentence.

Prosecutors closed their arguments yesterday, saying Wilson should die because he manipulated the prison system.

Wilson has also been in the news for fathering a child with a jail guard from Huntington Station. She has pleaded guilty to an illegal sex act and is awaiting sentencing.
