A Rockville Centre mother claims a teacher's aide abused her 9-year-old disabled daughter.
Joselyn Beltre's daughter, Krystal, attends Hagedorn Little Village School in Seaford. She suffers from a rare chromosome syndrome and doesn't speak.
Joselyn Beltre says her daughter came home from school last May with bruising on her cheeks. She says she spent the next two weeks getting the runaround from the school after she asked to see video from inside her daughter's classroom.
After multiple emails and phone calls, she says she was ultimately allowed to view only 23 minutes of the footage inside the classroom.
Beltre describes what she saw as "aggressive face wiping" by the aide who was supposed to be helping her daughter. She then filed a police report.
News 12 Long Island attempted to speak to the Hagedorn Little Village School executive director, but was removed from school property.
It was not immediately clear if the aide is still working at the school or if parents were notified about the alleged abuse.
It's also not clear if the school is investigating the incident.
