News 12 is continuing our pothole patrol – coming to the trouble spots that viewers are talking about online.
Danielle Campbell was in Thunderbolt12 Wednesday in North Bay Shore, where a viewer alerted News 12 to a deep pothole on Inchcape Road.
“It makes me nervous,” says Yanory Chicas. “That feeling when you hit a pothole and your heart sinks.”
Town officials are asking for the public’s help in locating potholes. Residents are encouraged to call 631-224-5600 or visit the town website to report a pothole location and details.
The Town of Islip says it has a $9 million road resurfacing budget, and will be repaving the worst roads first. They say since mid-January, crews have filled more than 32,000 potholes.
If you see a trouble spot, post it online using #12Potholes or #12PotholePatrol.
