A Ridge man is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a Holbrook woman in her home on Oct. 24.

Suffolk County police say 29-year-old Jawarren Booker came into the 74-year-old victim’s home through the window. They say he then physically and sexually assaulted her.

Booker was charged with rape and burglary.

According to court documents, the victim and defendant are strangers.

The prosecutor said the victim, who lives alone, was in her living room around 6:15 a.m. when she heard a noise in her bedroom. In her bedroom, she discovered a man in a ski mask with only his eyes visible. The prosecutor said evidence includes a fingerprint, which they matched to Booker.

Booker pleaded not guilty. His attorney said he has a 4-year-old son and pointed out that the complainant has not made an identification of her client. Booker is being held without bail.

An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
