Police are searching for the man who they say sexually assaulted a woman, 74, inside her Holbrook apartment Friday morning.

Suffolk police say the attack happened between 6:15 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Police say the man entered the woman's apartment through a window and sexually assaulted her while she was sitting on her couch.

A neighbor told News 12 that officers knocked on her door Friday night asking for Ring camera footage.

She said police did not share details with her, and she later learned about the assault on the News 12 website.

The neighbor said the time of the incident is especially alarming for residents who typically leave for work around those hours.

“I have a Ring camera, so I have the neighborhood app, barely anything goes on in this area, so it’s deeply concerning. I’ll definitely be more vigilant,” she said.

Police have not released a description of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
