Some Long Islanders in need have a new place to go for food in Central Islip.

Some Long Islanders in need have a new place to go for food in Central Islip.

The group Adelante of Suffolk County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Food for Thought Pantry in Central Islip Thursday.

It will be used to directly serve local residents. 

The food pantry is open on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
