A mother and daughter were killed overnight in a fire at their Huntington Station home.

Reyna Paris, 64, and her 29-year-old daughter Rosemarie Martinez, who had Down syndrome, were killed in a fire at their Fourth Avenue home.

Paris' son Joseph Martinez, 26, survived the blaze. He suffered only minor injuries.

Fire officials say the house was extremely cluttered and some of the rooms were impassible. Joseph Martinez was able to escape through a basement window, but officials say it was difficult to get to Paris and her daughter in second-floor bedrooms.

Paris and Rosemarie Martinez were transported to a hospital, but did not survive.
