Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver accused of leaving an injured man lying on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station.

Investigators believe it was a metallic green vehicle that struck Richard Wright on August 4 around 9:30 pm.

The Huntington man suffered head injuries and broken bones, but he is expected to survive.

Police say up to $5,000 is being offered for information.
