A sewage line break that led to a sinkhole in Baldwin may also be affecting wildlife.

A resident on a walk near Milburn Creek noticed dead wildlife including fish and turtles.

The creek was one of the areas affected by the spill.

At least one resident's lawn was covered with sewage, as well.

"A really rough start to the summer," that homeowner said. "I am really disappointed that we are going through this."

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman tells News 12 Long Island crews will start repairs to a damaged sewage line on July 10.

Until then, they will be pumping out the site and clean the lines.
