A Huntington Station resident says she is fed up after years of flooding at her home.
Tricia Prepetit says the problem is with the town's catch basin, which is located next door to her house on East 23rd Street.
Prepetit says the water recharge basin fills up too quickly and causes her backyard to flood. That water also makes its way into her home.
News 12 spoke with Huntington Highway Superintendent Peter Gunther who made his way to Prepetit's property to inspect the problem. He promised the homeowner that the town would be back to work on the sump on the next day of better weather.
Huntington Station was pounded with about 3 inches of rain during Tuesday's nor'easter.
