Search and rescue efforts are continuing Sunday for a missing swimmer in Southampton.

Police received a call around 8 p.m. Saturday of a man seen in distress in Big Fresh Pond near Elliston Park.

The caller says they saw the man go underwater and never come back to land.

Rescue crews searched throughout the night for the individual, but did not find him.
