The Republican National Convention opened today, but most opening day business was canceled as Tropical Storm Isaac moves through the Gulf of Mexico.
Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus gaveled the convention open and took swipes at the Obama administration and the national debt.
The Republicans are expected to officially nominate Mitt Romney as the party's presidential candidate tomorrow.
Isaac has now been forecasted to become a Category 2 hurricane.
