A report prepared by Cameron Engineering has determined that a proposed ambulance station to house first responders in Lake Success will not negatively impact traffic.
Residents voiced concerns about the proposed Cumberland Avenue location causing traffic and parking issues during a public hearing in May.
However, the ambulance unit's captain says the facility is needed because they are sharing a tight space with a fire company.
Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department officials say the location will "not create off-site traffic, parking, or safety concerns."
Cameron Engineering’s report was based on traffic and accident data from local police departments.
