Report: NY synagogues targeted in bomb threats as Israel-Hamas tensions resume
The Community Security Initiative reported Friday about email bomb threats targeting synagogues across the state after a week-long truce between Israel and Hamas ended.
News 12 was told the institutions received identical threats via email and online contact forms.
Law enforcement agencies actively investigated but there was no evidence as of Friday evening to suggest that those threats were founded or credible.
Security experts, however, advised Jewish communities to exercise increased situational awareness.
