A Hofstra University professor has died after reportedly falling on subway tracks in the city.
Kurt Salzinger died Thursday, weeks after he fell on subway tracks and was injured.
The 89-year-old's wife says he was knocked onto tracks by a rushing subway rider who didn't stop.
Salzinger reportedly escaped Nazi persecution in Europe during World War II.
Salzinger’s colleagues at Hofstra say Salzinger was a psychology pioneer who mentored students and faculty.
