A new report says nearly half of the intersections with red-light cameras in Suffolk County saw an increase in accidents resulting in injury.
Newsday reports that county data showed an increase at 44 of the 100 intersections with cameras through the end of 2014.
The rise was noted in comparison to a three-year period before the camera program was implemented in 2010.
Overall, crashes throughout the county were down between 2010 and 2014.
