Remains of 7 WWII vets found at Freeport funeral home

The bodies of the men who served and one of their spouses - all from the Freeport area – were never claimed.

Remains of World War II veterans who have been deceased for decades have recently been found on Long Island.
The cremated remains of seven WWII veterans were recently discovered at a Freeport funeral home - and after decades, they were brought to their final resting place on Tuesday.
The bodies of the men who served and one of their spouses - all from the Freeport area – were never claimed.
The remains of the seven veterans and the spouse will all be entombed at the Long Island National Cemetery.
