Police arrested a referee Saturday over his alleged fascination with a girl?s feet while he was refereeing a Cold Spring Harbor High School game.
Andrew Marks, 44, of Westbury, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Suffolk police say Marks was scheduled to referee a boys' basketball game at the school in December when he asked the girl inappropriate questions about her feet. The 15-year-old says she tried to walk away, but Marks followed. The teen alerted school security, leading to Marks being escorted from the building.
While Marks refused to comment about the charge, News 12 Long Island covered the man?s previous arrest in May 2005. Marks had allegedly stopped two girls walking in Melville, asked about their feet and took one of the girl?s shoes.
