A drug and weapons bust at home in Medford Friday yielded pounds of heroin, fentanyl and crack-cocaine, according to Suffolk police officials.
Suffolk Police Commissioner Tim Sini says at least five overdoses, including two fatal overdoses, were linked to the home on Norfleet Lane. Suffolk and state police executed a search warrant there where Sini says they found a trove of evidence.
According to the commissioner, they found approximately 1.5 kilograms of fentanyl, approximately 550 grams of crack-cocaine, a quantity of Xanax and oxycodone pills, Suboxone films, steroids and a kilogram press.
Officials say they also found other unknown substances, various firearms, and $10,000 in cash.
Four men were arrested. Rondell Blue, 25, Brandyn Liggon, 26, and Carl Washington, 39, are facing the most serious charges, which include a slew of drug and gun charges.
Sini says the suspects tried to get away while officers were executing the search warrant.
"They tried to evade arrest. They were unsuccessful to say the least," he says.
Sini says Friday's arrests are the result of the 11th narcotics-related search warrant executed by Suffolk police just this month.
