Suffolk County police have identified the woman who was found dead at a high-end resort and spa in Water Mill on Monday afternoon.

Southampton police responded to Shou Sugi Ban House located at 337 Montauk Highway around 12:30 p.m. Monday after a staff member discovered the female victim's body in a guest room.

Police have identified the woman as Sabina Rosas, 33, of Brooklyn.

Investigators have only said the woman "was a victim of violence" and called the death "suspicious."

The cause of death is still under investigation. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner is currently working to determine some of those answers through an autopsy.

Detectives said this was an isolated incident. There is no ongoing danger to the public.

Neighbors couldn't believe this happened at the luxury East End destination.

"Just shock, total shock," one neighbor said. "It's total shock, it's got a good reputation that place and [I've] never heard a bad thing about it. I know people who have used it."

No arrests have been made.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at (631) 852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
