The annual Puerto Rican Hispanic Day Parade was held in Brentwood Sunday.
A sea of Puerto Rican flags lined Fifth Avenue as the community marked the 52nd year of the parade.
It marks Long Island's largest celebration of Hispanic heritage.
Organizers estimate that 4,000 people participated in the parade.
Parade organizer Margarita Espada says she hopes that the display of culture will bring more attention to the devastation that is still crippling the island where she still has family.
