A large crowd attended a public hearing Monday night at Patchogue Village Hall to discuss a proposed six-story hotel.
The 116-room Hilton hotel would be built on West Avenue at the site of a former bowling alley.
The building would also have 16 apartments, a rooftop bar, dining and shopping.
Some residents voiced concerns over noise, traffic and parking.
The developer, James Manicone with JM2 Architecture, says they plan to work with the community and the village to make sure the project compliments the area.
The proposal will go before the village planning board next.
